"Make sure to request all the original software discs that shipped with the machine, particularly when buying used." There's more in the article but this has been a peeve of mine for years.
Joe Nieghbor buys a "great deal" at Best-Buy then gets a few hundred viruses in about a week and then comes crying to me to help them fix thier computer. I run some software tests and deduce that the best thing is to start over. "Here's the stuff that came with it", they say. Of course NO OS cd at all in thier stack of mostly useless cds. Thanks a-hole vendor!
