Studying the wrong thing?

Researchers at the University of California, with the help of a US Federal Grant no doubt, have found that a fetus, prior to 20 weeks old, can feel no pain. The Physicians for Reproductive Choice and Health, based in New York City, with the help of another US Federal Grant I'm guessing, also agree with the findings after a 2 year reasearch period.

Does this still make it OK to kill a beating heart even if said heart cannot feel it?!

IMO these ppl should be studying something MUCH more important. Instead they are trying to find a way to make it okey-dokey to kill kids. I hate research sometimes. Well, not the research as mush as the subject matter.
